Good Point, My Dear Twilight by The-Wizard-of-Art Good Point, My Dear Twilight by The-Wizard-of-Art
I cannot recall the point at which these DS paintings went from fun, simple little projects, to genuinely challenging artistic endeavors, but I know for certain the bar keeps raising.
When I said in the artist's comments for "Challenge Accepted" ( [link] ) that it didn't meet my standards of quality, this is to what I was referring. I'm not saying it's perfect,(far from it) but I am truly pleased with how it turned out.
When I started it on May twelfth, I figured I'd have it done in a week. I made steady progress on it until the twentieth. Then the time came to start shading Pinkie. I was completely baffled on how to go about it. The colors were either too red, or too blue, and never matched the lighting of the environment. I was so frustrated with my unsuccessful attempts that I abandoned it for two weeks. When I finally picked it up again on the fourth of June, I was tempted to scrap the project for good, but with a bit of persistence and help from a source that will for the time being remain nameless, I was able to finish it. Aren't you glad?

Please do draw more pictures like this, for this is unconditionally phenomenal and by far one of the best pictures ever drawn by you.

Why, thank you! Though, that is a rather broad statement. I've drawn very many pictures and far less than half of them are featured on deviantArt. Personally, I think "What Did You Call Me" holds the honor of being my best work, with "Rainfall and Short Jokes" taking the place of close second.

On that I would have to agree.

But what I meant was out of your pony pictures, which are quite nonpareil as well. :)

So you do everything on the DS? Does it have pressure sensitivity or stabilizer?

Hey, sorry for ignoring this for so long. It kind of got buried under a heap of other messages.
As for your question; not quite everything. I've also done a few watercolor paintings.
I'm pretty sure the Art Academy program doesn't have pressure sensitivity or stabilizer. It's a pretty basic program designed to replicate the tools and techniques of traditional media.

You use Art Academy? I have the game, and could I not do anything close to this. I use a DS lite. How did you do this? :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
