Merry Brandybuck in the scene: "The Palantir" in The Return of the King Special Extended Edition.
I found myself profoundly limited in my choices for a good, focused reference screenshot Merry's face, (I exhausted all three films looking for one) so this is the best I could come up with. I find myself equally limited in things to say about it.
As you can probably guess by how long it has been since my last portrait, this one consumed a good deal of my time. And patience. I'll spare you the details of all the tedium, blocks, frustration, and everything short of agony that went into creating this portrait, but suffice to say i am relieved to be done with it. Which isn't to say I'm completely unsatisfied with how it turned out. If I was, you wouldn't be looking at it right now. For the fourth portrait in the series and my tenth DS painting I'm sure I could have done worse.
